By the end of the conversation I had their info and scheduled them for interviews as soon as they finished their shift. They’ll be coming in for training later this week. -2 d oor-to-door salesmen in the world. +2 potentially solid employees for me . Everybody is happy.
Well... E xcept for Renewal By Anderson, but Anderson’s budget windows are junk so I don’t feel too bad. If I had a dollar for every time I had to explain to a client that their new windows that they paid a lot of money for aren’t dirty, they’re just failed.... I’d have like $250. Which would be nice because SOMEONE decided to make a little plastic trim piece on my Volvo cost over $200... *grumble*

You do realize this is a scenario that any kid on a crappy job dreams of? When I was just a part time cashier at my company I’d regularly Day dream about some one being so impressed with my customer service skills that they’d offer me a higher paying, full time job some where else.

It's insane how much Anderson charges for what essentially amounts to injection-molded polyester resin and discarded sawdust.

What do you need done? I got my MBA and I’ve been underemployed for 6 months

Oh yeah. And it works, too! Some of my best hires have been servers, line cooks, and others that I’ve seen working with a good attitude. That’s why I’m always sad to see someone with a minumum wage job..... Treating it as a minumum wage job, you know?

A- pillar trim. Not sure why I thought it was so expensive, my late-night googling apparently can’t be trusted

I know exactly what you mean. You gotta bust your ass at the minimum level so that you can work your way up and get an easier job! lol

Various entry-level labor work. At the moment that’s installing Christmas lights.
You'd definitely still be underemployed here...
